| With their kids grown up and no longer living at home these clients desired a rear yard that reflected their current lifestyle and not one of days past gone. The clients wanted an outdoor environment that would enhance their interest in relaxing and spending time outside. Our task was to make the outdoor area adjacent to their residence feel as if it was an extension of their home making it easy to flow outside. To accomplish that goal the master plan had to accommodate a significant change in elevation between the indoors and outside. That was overcome by making the changes in elevation an integral part of the design and as the pictures depict a professionally designed plan can often take a site constraint and develop it into a positive element.
